Elon Musk is the richest person on the globe, as per Forbes, with a net worth of $229.8 billion (about Rs 19,02,973 crore). Shockingly though, leaving the lavish castles, he resides in a modest two-bedroom home.
Musk's biographer Walter Isaacson recently tweeted a picture of the billionaire's humble "spartan two-bedroom house" on X, formerly known as Twitter.
According to author Isaacson, who confirmed that Elon Musk does really reside in a simple two-bedroom home in Boca Chica, Texas, Musk first sold five opulent and large homes in 2020 before relocating to the prefabricated home. "In 2020, Musk decided to sell his five grand houses and to have as his primary residence this spartan two-bedroom house in Boca Chica, TX, where we would meet and he would sit at this wood table and make phone calls," he said in a tweet.
It is noted that Isaacson has written Elon Musk's biography, which is expected to be out in September 2023.
According to Hello Magazine, Musk spent around $50,000 (approximately Rs 41 lakhs) to purchase the 375-square-foot prefab home created by the Las Vegas company, Boxabl. According to Boxabl's official website, the Casita home owned by Musk comes with a walk-in closet, full-size shower area, powder room, fireplace, family-size kitchen with modern appliances, a bedroom, and a living room. The website also claims the prefab house to be fire, wind, water, and mold resistant.
A glimpse into Musk's neat home was given by Isaacson in the tweet. In the picture, one can notice fascinating objects like a rocket figure and a Japanese sword (Katana) on display. Check out the picture here:
