Elon Musk is scheduled to deliver his first speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Thursday afternoon. The CPAC organizers surprised attendees by announcing that the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) chief and close confidant of former President Donald Trump would be giving an address.
Other notable speakers at this year's CPAC event include President Trump, Vice President JD Vance, immigration czar Tom Homan, and various conservative politicians and influencers. During the conference's opening ceremony, Vance highlighted several accomplishments of the Trump administration in its first full month.

Following Trump's return to the White House, Elon Musk has faced criticism from Democrats and the media due to his involvement with DOGE and efforts to eliminate wasteful government programs, some of which were associated with diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
According to DOGE, they have already successfully cut $44 billion in previously misused taxpayer funds.
