Elon Musk Raises Concerns Over Social Security Database Anomalies

president-elect Donald Trump speaks with Elon Musk

Elon Musk recently made a startling revelation on social media regarding the Social Security database, pointing out that millions of individuals are listed as centenarians with the death field inaccurately set to FALSE. Musk humorously suggested that perhaps vampires are collecting Social Security benefits, given the unusual data.

According to Musk's post, the database shows over 20 million individuals aged 100 and above, with more than 3.9 million falling in the 130-139 age range, over 3.5 million in the 140-149 range, and more than 1.3 million in the 150-159 range. These figures starkly contrast with the U.S. Census Bureau's data, which reported a total population of over 331 million in the 2020 census, with only around 80,000 individuals aged 100 and older.

Musk expressed astonishment at the apparent inconsistencies within the Social Security system, highlighting the lack of clarity in how it operates. He pointed out significant discrepancies in the payment files exchanged between Social Security and the Treasury that remain unresolved, describing the system as 'wild' and 'INSANE.'

In a separate post, Musk raised concerns about the abundance of 'eligible' Social Security numbers compared to the actual U.S. citizen population, suggesting that this discrepancy could potentially constitute one of the largest frauds in history.

Following Musk's revelations, President Donald Trump appointed him to lead the Department of Government Efficiency, a task force aimed at identifying and addressing inefficiencies, fraud, and misuse within the federal government.
