Billionaire Elon Musk, now a senior adviser to President Trump, recently met with Senate Republicans in the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) Caucus at the White House. The meeting, led by caucus Chairwoman Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, focused on the caucus's efforts to audit and reduce government bloat.
Ernst expressed pride in the Senate DOGE Caucus's commitment to saving taxpayer dollars and emphasized the importance of streamlining government operations to benefit the American people. The meeting provided an opportunity for senators to hear directly from Musk about the findings of DOGE.

The goal of the gathering was to facilitate collaboration between the Senate and DOGE, with a focus on enhancing legislative efficiency and protecting taxpayers. Senators shared their areas of focus, including government spending, national debt reduction, and monitoring financial flows to institutions like the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
Discussions with Musk also centered on how congressional action could improve the efficiency of Washington, D.C., and prevent the funding of extravagant projects that do not serve the public interest. Musk's engagement with Senate Republicans follows a meeting with President Trump and his Cabinet at the White House the day before.
