Elon Musk Criticizes Democrats, Supports Auditing Federal Reserve

Renowned billionaire and Tesla CEO Elon Musk made a striking appearance at a conservative gathering near Washington, D.C., where he brandished a chainsaw, expressed interest in auditing the Federal Reserve, and accused Democrats of treason. Musk, a prominent advisor to former President Donald Trump, addressed the crowd at the Conservative Political Action Conference, discussing his efforts to reduce government spending and streamline the federal workforce through the Department of Government Efficiency.

During his speech, Musk highlighted his commitment to cutting bureaucratic red tape, symbolically accepting a chainsaw from Argentine President Javier Milei, engraved with the slogan “Viva la libertad, carajo” (Long live liberty, damn it). Referring to it as the “chainsaw for bureaucracy,” Musk emphasized the need to eliminate inefficiencies in government operations.

Musk criticized the Biden administration's immigration policies, particularly referencing an app that granted nearly 1 million individuals two-year permits to work in the U.S. He characterized this initiative as a ploy to sway support in key swing states, labeling it as a “real scam at scale” aimed at manipulating American democracy.

Responding to a question about auditing the Federal Reserve, Musk expressed willingness to consider the idea, citing pervasive waste in various sectors. He also shared a lighthearted anecdote about Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele expressing concerns for Musk's security, despite Bukele's reputation for taking decisive action against criminal elements in his country.

When asked to describe his thought process, Musk humorously likened his mind to a storm, reflecting the dynamic and innovative nature of his ideas. Following Musk's appearance, political figure Steve Bannon took the stage, acknowledging the challenge of following such a high-profile speaker and playfully referring to himself as a “crazy Irishman” in comparison to Musk's larger-than-life presence.

Elon Musk's participation at the event generated significant buzz among attendees, underscoring his influence in both political and entrepreneurial spheres.
