Elon Musk Again Handing Out Millions To Those Who Support His Initiative Against 'Activist Judges'

Billionaire Elon Musk is again handing out millions to people who support his initiatives, this time to "oppose activist judges" who have been ruling against initiatives carried out by the Trump administration.

Musk made the announcement on Friday, saying he will give a talk in Wisconsin ahead of a key state Supreme Court race. "I will also hand over checks for a million dollars to 2 people to be spokesmen for the petition," the billionaire added in his social media platform, X.

Musk's political action committee (PAC) also offers $100 to Wisconsin voters if they sign a petition of the kind.

"By signing below, I'm rejecting the actions of activist judges who impose their own views and demanding a judiciary that respects its role — interpreting, not legislating," reads the petition. Those who sign and submit their data will then get the money.

Wisconsin's Supreme Court race will take place next week. Axios reported last Friday that two groups backed by musk are set to spend some $20 million to support Brad Schimel, the Republican candidate. The Democratic candidate, Susan Crawford, has in contrast gotten donations from high-profile figures like George Soros and Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker.

It is not the first time Musk offers voters money to support his agenda. During the 2024 election his PAC handed out several millions of dollars to voters in swing states signing a petition backing the Constitution.

The initiative was challenged in the courts but a judge ruled the PAC could continue doing it. A lawyer for the PAC revealed in a hearing in November that winners were not chosen randomly but selected by the group despite Musk saying "we are going to be be awarding $1m randomly to people who have signed the petition, every day, from now until the election."
