Ellis Simms will lead the line for Everton as the 22-year-old replaces Dominic Calvert-Lewin for the Merseyside derby.
The academy graduate makes his first start since an injury-hit Blues drew 1-1 at Chelsea under Rafa Benitez in December 2021. It is his first significant involvement since returning from a loan spell at Sunderland at the beginning of January.
He had scored seven goals for the Championship side before being recalled by then boss Frank Lampard - effectively earning a place as Everton's only incoming in January as a result.

Simms replaces Calvert-Lewin, who Sean Dyche had said was "touch and go" for this fixture when he spoke to the press at Finch Farm on Friday. Calvert-Lewin is not in the squad as he continues to deal with a hamstring issue.
Dyche has otherwise named an unchanged starting line-up from the side that beat Arsenal in his first game in charge. This means Seamus Coleman, captain again, makes his 400th appearance for Everton.
It also means Dyche looks set to persist with the 4-5-1 formation that helped him to three points at Goodison Park last weekend. Neal Maupay is on the bench - as is Michael Keane, who returns from injury to make the squad.
Confirmed XI: Pickford; Coleman, Tarkowski, Coady, Mykolenko; Doucoure, Gueye, Onana, McNeil, Iwobi; Simms
