Dougie Poynter has revealed that he snubbed an invite to Ellie Goulding's recent wedding to Caspar Jopling as he deemed it 'innapropriate.'
The McFly hunk dated Ellie for two years before they split for good in 2016.
Despite the break-up, the pair have remained on good terms - such good terms in fact, that Ellie decided to invited her ex to revel in her special day last week.

But when guitarist Dougie failed to join the star-studded guestlist at York Minster on Saturday, it had been speculated that he and Ellie had fallen out.
But Dougie, 31, said there was an explanation behind his no show.
"I did [get an invite] but I didn't really think it was appropriate," he told The Sun.
Dougie added that he and Ellie 'are totally on good terms' but admitted he hasn't seen her lately.

The pair went through an amicable split back in 2016.
Ellie said at the time: "Having a break will be a good thing for me and my head.
"Dougie is one of the most special people in the world and I’m so happy for him. He’s doing well in LA and he’s still one of my best friends. I know he feels the same."
Dougie, who also dated The Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge, has since moved on with model Maddy Elmer.

But despite his history with Ellie, Dougie was not one of the famous faces at her lavish wedding on Saturday.
Ellie did however, count pop royalty and actual royalty among her guests with Katy Perry showing up with Orlando Bloom and Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice joining their mum Sarah Ferguson in the congregation.

Following the service at York Minster, the wedding party made their way to Castle Howard for the no expense spared wedding party.
Ellie changed her dress four times during the night and ended the celebrations in a white Balmain mini dress.

"Olivier [Rousteing] has made me the most fun dress to dance the night away in," Ellie told Vogue magazine.
She later told fans: "This weekend I married the love of my life, in God’s own country, surrounded by the people I cherish. Overwhelmed with gratitude. Thank you eternally to everyone involved in such a special time, including every single person that traveled from far and wide to come and celebrate with us at York Minster- a place that my husband and his family hold close to their hearts. I will never forget your support and generosity. We both send you all so much love and a massive hug xx"
