Ellie Goulding was pictured without her engagement ring at the Serpentine Summer Party amid reports she and husband Caspar Jopling are ‘spending time apart’.
The 36-year-old attended the annual soiree on Tuesday alongside Jopling, who was pictured wearing his wedding ring, days before struggles in their four-year marriage were reported.
Following the event, the pair appeared to go their separate ways as the art dealer, 33, visited Chiltern Firehouse with friends following the swanky art party.
The news comes as it has been claimed that their marriage has come under strain due to their busy schedules, and they have decided to spend some time apart.
It’s believed that the pair, who began dating in 2017, are still close, and continue to co-parent their son, Arthur.
Despite the reports, the singer has been spotted in public with Jopling on multiple occasions, leading to friends believing they’ll rebuild their marriage.
A source told The Sun: “There have been ups and downs for a while, but they have always strongly felt they wanted to stay together so they could both be with their son.
“In the end they’ve tried to find a compromise where they continue to share lots of time together for their son Arthur, but outside of that sometimes live separate lives for now.
“There is no discussion of a divorce and neither of them have been in a new relationship – the priority is to keep good friends and remain amicable whilst they work out their next steps, so they can stay close and enjoy being mum and dad to Arthur.”
The couple married in 2019 at York Minster in front of the likes of Sarah, Duchess of York, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, as well as Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend, Cressida Bonas.
They have kept their relationship largely out of the public eye, and welcomed their first child together in 2021.
