Ella Henderson has treated her adoring fans to a glimpse of her romantic trip to Mauritius, where her boyfriend Jack Burnell popped the all-important question.
The former X Factor contestant, 26, announced her happy engagement news last week alongside a glimpse of her stunning diamond ring from her future husband.
"So this happened," the singer captioned a snap of her ring to her Instagram followers. "Here’s to life with you and all it’s adventures @jackrexburnell."
Jack, who has retired from competitive swimming, popped the question to the Ghost singer during the couple's idyllic holiday to Mauritius.
Following the romantic proposal, Ella has now shared a collection of gorgeous snaps from the newly-engaged couples once-in-a-lifetime getaway.
Ella posted a number of snaps which saw her soak up the sun during the lavish trip at The Residence Mauritius hotel.
In one striking snap, the singer looked amazing as she showcased her figure in a black bikini while sporting a chunky pair of sunglasses.
The former X Factor star also shared a radiant selfie which saw her don a crochet black cover up and a chic sun hat.
Alongside the gorgeous photos, Ella penned: "Just touched down from a holiday of dreams and a well needed break!!
"I came here when I was a teenager and told myself I’d come back one day and bring my family when I’m all grown up and have a career in music! I guess I kept my promise.
"This place holds a nostalgic place in my heart and I couldn’t think of anywhere better to see in the New Year of 2023!!
"I love the people (and the animal friends I made) here so much on the island of Mauritius! Everyone spreads so much light and love to one another and I want to bring that energy home with me."
Ella went on: "To all my fans, my family, my friends… THANK YOU for everything these last few years. It feels so good to be back on my feet again - creating, writing, performing and doing what I love most! I feel totally recharged and raring to go!
"Now I can’t wait to get back to it! This year is gonna be a big one! Bring on 2023 and new music."
Newly-engaged couple Ella and Jack first met during lockdown, after Ella joined a dating app during a period of feeling lonely while the world was shut down.
"The reason for going on the dating app was because it was a long period of time before we could go out and socialise. I missed my friends and wanted to go to the bar, have a cocktail, chat somebody up and let them chat you up but you couldn’t have that time to do that," Ella explained to the Metro in March 2022.
The singer had just come out of a long-term relationship when she swiped right on Jack and begun their love story.
"It couldn’t have happened at a better time, him and I, because I was already winding up the album and once the initial lockdown hit in the UK, I was at a place of finalising the album," Ella admitted when discussing her relationship last year.
The Crazy What Love Can Do singer went on to gush about her 'fellow northerner' Jack and recall everything just 'falling into place' when she met the retired athlete.
Ella, who was just 16-years-old when she appeared on The X Factor in 2012, has described their romance as a 'lockdown success story' elsewhere and explained how she and Jack didn't 'physically meet each other' for nine weeks.
"The funniest thing about our relationship is that for the first eight to nine weeks, we didn’t physically meet," Ella told OK! magazine last year. "It was all done through a phone or FaceTime. We built up a great friendship and fell in love."
Jack confirmed his and Ella's romance in June 2020, when the swimmer took to Instagram to share a snap of the singer with his followers.
