Ella Henderson enjoys Seaham Hall luxury with famous boyfriend before wowing fans in South Shields

Ella Henderson described Seaham Hall as 'heaven' as she enjoyed the luxurious surroundings of the award-winning County Durham venue with her famous other half before performing in South Shields on Sunday.

The former X Factor star was the main attraction at the second Bents Park concert of this year's South Tyneside Festival, following in the footsteps of Will Young, who opened proceedings last week.

Ghost singer Ella arrived in Shields just over a month after supporting The Script on tour at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle and, before the 26-year-old performed to a sun drenched crowd of over 20,000, she got to enjoy some time at Seaham Hall, just down the A19.

Ella brought Team GB swimmer boyfriend Jack Burnell with her for the trip and posted a photo of him on Instagram of him tucking into a meal at the hotel and spa, describing it as a 'breakfast fit for a king.' Ella documented more of the couple's time in Seaham on her Insta story, including a photo of their stunning room and telling her many fans she was enjoying some 'pre-show relaxation,' before uploading a short clip of her walking into the swimming pool, which she captioned 'Heaven.'

Ella, who can currently be heard on summer dance anthems Crazy What Love Can Do and 21 Reasons, then uploaded a shot of the outdoor pool, next to which she wrote 'The perfect weather for it.'

After tearing herself away from the sumptuous surroundings to hit the stage in Bents Park, Ella delighted those who flocked to see her as temperatures continued to climb and looked to be having a ball on stage.

And her rewarded for a superb set was some food from South Shields' most famous restaurant - Colmans. A post appeared on Colman's Facebook page early on Sunday evening, to reveal that a staff member had met Ella backstage to drop off some fish and chips for her. When in Rome and all that!
