Two years is practically a lifetime in college football.
Two years ago at this time, Ohio State had beaten Michigan eight years in a row, and Texas and Oklahoma were residing comfortably in the Big 12. Two years from now, the College Football Playoff will have grown to three times its current size.
However, quarterback recruit Austin Simmons has made that span seem like nothing. Simmons decommitted from Florida and committed to Ole Miss Saturday morning, but made even bigger headlines by reclassifying from the class of 2025 to the class of 2023.

The Gators and Rebels are scheduled to meet in 2024 on a date yet to be determined.
