Elite LB recruit flips commitment to Georgia Bulldogs

On Saturday, linebacker recruit Anthony Kruah flips his commitment from North Carolina to Georgia. Kruah is a three-star prospect per ESPN. Kruah has been around the Georgia campus since the summer taking an official visit June 21 a month after receiving an offer by Kirby Smart and company.

Kruah plays high school football for Marietta High School in Marietta, Georgia. The three-star prospect is the No. 531 recruit in the nation, per 247Sports. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound linebacker is the No. 54 player at his position in the class of 2025.

Kruah went on another two visits during this season when Auburn and Mississippi State came into Athens. Glen Schumann has built a brand at Georgia. UGA has become a pipeline to the NFL for top linebacker recruits. Georgia is the premier program at landing commitments for five-star linebackers.

With the success of young players at the position such as Raylen Wilson and CJ Allen last year to seeing Chris Cole in an extended role this season. He is another diamond in the rough recruit that could help out the defense quicker than people think. One thing that pops out on his mid-season highlight tape is his ability to cover ground rushing the quarterback or gaining ground to tackle the ball carrier. Georgia is always looking for speed at linebacker.

Kruah is the second linebacker commit in Georgia’s recruiting class. Kruah is set to go along side five-star Zayden Walker out of Schley County.
