Lord of the Rings star Elijah Wood is coming to Edinburgh after being announced as a surprise guest for Comic Con Scotland in October.
The Spy Kids 3D and Sin City star will be joining the line-up for the fourth annual Comic Con event taking place at The Royal Highland Centre in Ingliston on October 7 and 8.
Posting an image of the popular actor in his guise as Frodo Baggins in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, the Comic Con team posted: "Special Guest announcement – American actor and producer Elijah Wood."

He now joins Vampire Diaries heartthrob stars Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley, Mandalorian bad guy Giancarlo Esposito and Doctor Who and Torchwood legend John Barrowman in the top lineup alongside stars from the likes of Harry Potter, Grease and the Mortal Kombat films.
Delighted fans flocked to the post to share their excitement, one wrote: "Amazing, I always wanted to go to Scotland I think this is my moment."
While another added: "Wow!! That's a brilliant guest."
Taking place on October 7 and 8, fans of pop culture, films, tv, comic books, and more, will be able to meet and greet their favourite actors and actresses, have photographs with them, and get autographs.
There will also be Q & A panels, Cosplay, and trade stalls which sell everything from replica props, clothing and toys to original artwork.
There will also be a video gaming arena, and loads of props and sets including their Back to the Future display, Cobra Kai displays, Harry Potter and Game of Thrones displays.
Last year's hugely successful event saw guests such as Obi-Wan Kenobi star Ewan McGregor, Star Wars legends Anthony Daniels and Denis Lawson, and Hollywood legends Alicia Silverstone and Billy Zane.
