The Broncos’ defense made some big plays early on in Week 10’s Monday night clash against the Bills, including a momentum-building fumble recovery on Buffalo’s first play of the game.
James Cook coughed up the football on his first touch of the night, and Denver’s defense was able to scoop it up, prompting Peyton Manning to have an excited reaction during ESPN’s ManningCast.
Responding to Peyton saying, “Our ball” after the Broncos’ fumble recovery, Eli Manning couldn’t help but troll his older brother for reacting as if he still played for Denver.
“Wow, our ball?” asked Eli. “It’s been–It’s been eight years.”

Peyton last played for the Broncos in 2015, a fact that Eli hilariously reminded him of during Monday’s broadcast. While Peyton may still feel some connection to the Broncos, Eli didn’t hesitate to remind him that chapter of his life was relatively far behind him.
Peyton’s homer comments didn’t go unnoticed by the Broncos’ social media team, who responded to the clip on X (formerly Twitter).
“You can always say “our,” Peyton,” wrote the team.
