Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle DJ Reader was a near-unstoppable force during his team’s win over the Tennessee Titans in Week 12.
Cornerback Eli Apple is not about to let the world forget it, either.
Reader, only just back from an injury that caused him to miss a big chunk of the season, dictated what happened in the trenches on Sunday. He shifted entire lines during rushing attempts and collapsed pockets.
None of that is unusual for Reader, but it was especially noticeable against a run-first team that wants to impose its will. Superstar Titans running back Derrick Henry managed just 38 carries on 17 attempts, good for a 2.2 average.
So one could say Reader earned this praise from Apple after the game:
