When we last saw Eli Apple on a football field, he was getting beat for the Super Bowl-winning touchdown by Cooper Kupp earlier this year, something that led to so much trash talk from Chiefs players and NFL fans everywhere.
Maybe things would be different in training camp for the Cincinnati Bengals cornerback this time around? Perhaps motivated by the slights and Kupp beating him for a championship-winning score?
That didn’t happen on Thursday. He got torched by Ja’Marr Chase for a touchdown, and the receiver did a little high-stepping celebration right in front of his teammate while looking right at him.
