But following the conclusion of the Premier League, there was a full set of international fixtures with plenty of Reds players representing their national sides. The extended season for them meant that they were granted extra time off during the summer and won't be returning to Merseyside until July 9.
Alisson, Virgil van Dijk, Andy Robertson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Kostas Tsimikas, Fabinho, Naby Keita, Curtis Jones, Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota and summer signing Darwin Nunez will all return for the flight to Thailand at the start of next week.
With a game against Manchester United on July 12, it is unlikely that the latter group will feature in the first friendly but could return for the match against Crystal Palace on July 15. Following the Palace tie, Liverpool will then travel to Germany to take on RB Leipzig on July 21 and Austria to take on Red Bull Salzburg on July 27.
