It’s time to pack for Electric Picnic - and if you’ve left it until the last minute you might get overwhelmed and forget something very important.
But thankfully, we’ve come up with a list that includes everything from your hygiene needs to your camping necessities. It’s been a while since a lot of us have packed for an outdoor festival, so it’s easy to forget the simple things.
Some easy festival hacks include checking the weather forecast before you go - we’re living in Ireland after all, one minute there’s a heatwave and the next you’re needing multiple hoodies to battle the cold.

Another hack includes wearing a light pair of pyjamas (shorts and a t-shirt) and putting a fluffy pair over them. When camping, it’s going to be freezing cold at night - but when you wake up, the tent is going to be warm and stuffy, so you can easily remove a layer and go back to sleep.
For girls, it’s also suggested to wear a pair of fluffy socks and boots. If you keep your feet warm - the heat will circulate around your whole body, meaning you won’t be freezing.
Other important things to bring include:
Your ticket
It's obvious, but you'd be surprised how often people arrive at the venue to realise they left the tickets on the kitchen table.
Cash
The queues for the EP ATMs take forever.
Clothes for every season
Bring shorts and plenty of sun cream - but also a raincoat or poncho.
Toothbrush and toothpaste
You don’t want smelly breath - especially if you’re wanting the shift.
Portable charger
You'll need your phone in case you get separated from your friends.
Painkillers and vitamins
Stock up in Boots before you go - you’ll thank us later.
Food
You can buy food but if you're on a budget, bring plenty of snacks with you.
Toilet roll
Do you want to take the risk of not having some?
Bin bags
This is for your wet clothes if it rains. Trust us, you don't want to be keeping wet clothes near any of your dry ones.
Baby wipes
This is in case you can't have a shower, they're handy for keeping yourself somewhat clean. Other products to help freshen up include: Micellar water, dry shampoo, deodorant, face cream, hairbrush, little shampoos/ shower gel and sheet masks.
Water bottle
Sustainable and ideal for putting beside your sleeping bag before you take your 40 winks.
Swimwear, a towel, and flipflops
The shower essentials.
Something funky to help you spot your tent
Whether it’s a flag or fairy lights - make sure you mark your tent.
A fanny pack
Highly practical, and you can keep valuables on your person at all times.
A hoodie
You will not survive a festival without one.
Hand sanitizer
Covid still exists, and you'll need to clean your hands.
