Voters in Hyndburn, Lancashire, have had their say in the 2023 local elections.
A third of the borough council was up for election, across wards including Altham, Barnfield, Baxenden, Central, Church, Clayton-le-Moors, Huncoat, Immanuel, Milnshaw, Overton, Rishton and St Oswald’s.
Twelve seats were up for grabs out of 35. Before the election, there was no overall political control in Hyndburn, with a minority Labour administration in charge.

Local elections took place for more than 200 local authorities across the UK. In Greater Manchester seats were available in the region's 10 councils. Mayoral elections are also taking place in Bedford, Leicester, Mansfield and Middlesborough.
Voters were only electing their local councillors in this election with the next General Election not scheduled until 28 January 2025 at the very latest.
Polls closed at 10pm on Thursday, May 4, with the count taking place on Friday, May 5.
