An elderly woman was woken up to burglars in her home.
The pensioner was alseep in bed, at around 1.30am on Monday, April 17, when she woke to the sound of people searching downstairs. She found two suspects had broken into her home on Tollemache Road, Birkenhead.
Police report the suspects threatened the victim and demanded she handed over cash. They also stole jewellery and watches.

The woman managed to escape from her home and call the police when the two men were searching the property upstairs. She was not injured but has been left "shaken."
Detective Inspector Kevin O’Rourke said: "To break into the home of an elderly woman and threaten her is appalling and we are determined to find the two cowardly males involved. Thankfully the woman was not hurt, but this must have been a shock for her to be woken in her own home in such a way.
"I would appeal to anyone who lives in the area around Tollemache Road to check their CCTV to see if they captured anything suspicious on 17th April in the early hours of the morning.
