Elderly residents were evacuated from a care home after a gas leak.
Staff as Riverslie Nursing and Residential Home, on Crosby Road South, Waterloo, said they evacuated due to the "leak" on Thursday, July 21. Buses and emergency services were spotted outside the property at around 8pm.
Eight buses were seen parked up outside the care home with their hazard lights on, appearing to be moving residents. The care home later confirmed to The ECHO they were "evacuating due to a gas leak" inside the home.

Cadent, the gas emergency service for the North West, were made aware of an incident at the care home earlier yesterday afternoon.
A spokesperson from Cadent said: "A gas emergency engineer from Cadent was called to Riverslie Nursing and Residential Home yesterday afternoon. The engineer found a gas escape on the internal pipework and had to cap the gas meter.
"After completing his safety checks and making the property safe the engineer left just after 3pm." The home can care for up to 30 people and had 24 residents aged 65 and over when they were last inspected by the Care and Quality Commission in January 2022.
