An elderly man is believed to have spent a day trapped inside a car after it fell down an embankment south-west of Sydney on Wednesday.
The man, in his 80s, was rescued from the crashed vehicle at Razorback, near Picton, about 6pm AEDT on Thursday evening.
Firefighters, paramedics and police were all called to the scene.
Authorities believe the car fell from Old Razorback Road down a 5-metre embankment on Wednesday, and the man was languishing there for at least 24 hours.
"We understand a vehicle has left the road some time yesterday and travelled down an embankment, trapping an elderly gentleman," Fire and Rescue NSW Superintendent Adam Newberry said.
Footage from the scene showed the man being loaded onto a stretcher to be carried up the embankment.
A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said the man was in his 80s and was being taken to Campbelltown Hospital.
The man was in "good spirits", with minimal injuries, according to a Fire and Rescue NSW spokesperson.
