Last Friday, Elden Ring’s minimum system requirements for PC came up on Steam before FromSoftware quickly nixed the details. Fans were somewhat upset and hoping it was a mistake, mainly because 12GB of RAM is asking a lot. Well, it wasn’t a flub on the developer’s part either, as publisher Bandai Namco finally set the record straight on Tuesday.
Elden Ring recommended system requirements
- OS: Windows 10, Windows 11
- Processor: Intel Core i7 8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X
- Memory: 16GB RAM
- Graphics: Nvidia GeForce 1070, 3GB or AMD Radeon RX Vega 56, 8GB
- DirectX: version 12
- Storage: 60GB available space
The video card requirement isn’t all that demanding, but 16GB of RAM is still a lot. It’s surprising since Elden Ring will release on last-generation consoles like the PS4 and Xbox One. This post also confirms the minimum requirements shared on Friday were genuine too.

We’ll find out just how badly Elden Ring will thrash your desktop when it comes out Feb. 25, 2022. Many of the PC gaming greats make the platform sweat, so maybe this is a (taxing) sign.
