Elander Moore and Jason Forbes have been announced as the latest additions to the cast of the upcoming period project 'King & Conqueror,' a joint venture between BBC and CBS that focuses on the Battle of Hastings. The star-studded lineup already includes James Norton, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Emily Beecham, Clémence Poésy, and a host of other talented actors.

The series, which has recently wrapped filming in Iceland, will feature Moore as Morcar, the son of the Earl of Mercia, Lewis as Margaret, Forbes as Thane Thomas, and Asserson as Judith, among others. Notable figures such as Eddie Marsan, Juliet Stevenson, and Jean-Marc Barr are also part of the cast.

'King & Conqueror' is an eight-episode series written by Michael Robert Johnson, known for his work on 'Sherlock Holmes.' James Norton will also serve as an executive producer through his production company Rabbit Track Pictures, while Coster-Waldau will direct an episode and serve as an executive producer.

The premiere episode will be directed by Baltasar Kormákur, who will also oversee the creative direction of the series as an executive producer. The show is a collaborative effort between The Development Partnership, Rabbit Track, Shepherd Content, RVK Studios, and CBS Studios, in association with the BBC.

The series delves into the clash between Harold of Wessex and William of Normandy at the Battle of Hastings in 1066, exploring the intertwined family dynasties vying for power across England and Normandy. The BBC has secured broadcasting rights for the series in the U.K., while Paramount Global Content Distribution will handle distribution outside the U.K.
