Love Island star Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu shared her weight gain during her special road trip with boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti during the second episode of their mini series.
The couple, who won the eighth series of the ITV2 reality show, have filmed their own two-part show Homecomings, which saw the pair travel to their native homes in Italy and Turkey.
The second part of the ITV2 special aired on Tuesday evening and features Davide and Ekin-Su travelling through Turkey to meet her family, leaving them both emotional.
As Ekin-Su gathered with her extended family, including her mother and grandmother, she told her 18-year-old brother Arda about their stay in Italy.
The Essex native went on to tell her brother about her weight gain in the home of pasta and pizza, as she patted to her stomach in a slinky dress and said: "Look at this."
She said to her brother: "I had the best food in Italy. Be honest, do you think I've gained weight."
Arda refused to answer as boyfriend Davide pulled the star in for a kiss and assured her she is ‘beautiful’.
During their trip away, Davide enjoyed a Turkish bath and learned family recipes with Ekin-Su's grandmother as they were drove around in a car driven by the Italian stallion..
Speaking about his experience, Davide said: “Well I loved the Turkish bath experience. It is really warm in there and you have a massage after. I felt relaxed after it and I would recommend it to everyone.
During the second episode the pair ventured on a eight-hour road trip in a campervan to Ekin-Su's family village of Odemis.
Ekin-Su said: “They do say roadtrips bring you closer together and when we were in the campervan, I was so grateful to Davide for driving us around the whole time.
“It was really nice. We had so many amazing conversations whilst we were driving around. We were also singing a lot and we played a few games of eye spy. We just had so much fun mucking around!”
Davide added: “I was looking forward to meeting Ekin's parents and all of her family in Turkey and also looking forward to her meeting my family in Italy.
“I always said in the villa that I am looking forward to bringing Ekin-Su to Italy so I was just so excited to finally bring her to my country, show her around and take her to eat some good Italian food. We had such a good time together.”
Ekin-Su admitted she had her own ‘pinch me’ moments, and said: “It felt too good to be true, I kept thinking how are you here in Turkey with my grandma? It was honestly amazing.”
It's not the only time Ekin-Su will be appearing on screens, as the reality star is due to take to the ice in the upcoming series of ITV ’s Dancing on Ice next year.
