Ekin-Su defies critics as she returns to Dancing On Ice in controversial outfit

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu defied critics as she returned to Dancing On Ice in her outfit which sparked hundreds of Ofcom complaints.

The Love Island star exited the show a few weeks in, but it was her sequinned catsuit and raunchy dance in the first week – including a crawl across the ice - that sparked protest and TV regulator Ofcom got more than 100 complaints.

However, Ekin-Su was back with a clear message for her critics as she returned in her 'Toxic' dress for the show final, as the other seven eliminated stars skated once again as the class of 2023.

Fans of the show rushed to praise Ekin-Su for her defiance.

One viewer wrote: "Ekin-Su said you see this outfit AGAIN and I love her for that #DancingOnIce," whilst a second added: "Ekin with her IDGAF attitude, we hear for it! #dancingonice #WomenEmpowerment #loveIsland.

"Bringing Ekin out in that outfit to that song was a tactical ‘f*** you’ and I’m here for it tbh #dancingonice," a third shared, with a fourth writing: "Ekin Su wearing that outfit from Ep1 to p*** off the haters is lols #DancingOnIce."

A fifth added: "SLAY EKIN FOR WEARING THAT OMG #DancingOnIce." A sixth penned: "Ekin su is wearing her Toxic outfit for the final," as another viewer wrote: "Queen Ekin is back to make all the miserable Karens cry for one last time YESS #DancingOnIce."

Ekin-Su previously admitted she was determined to "fight", but admitted the backlash did leave her in tears.

"I’m not going to just back off any more, I’m going to be confident again. I’m going to fight. I’m here, I’m ready. I’m going to shine and I’m going to be me again," she said, "I was very upset. Instead of people backing me up and saying, ‘Look, she’s doing her best. Look at her, look at her confidence’, I had negative feedback. I was crying a lot. I went home, I cried in Davide’s arms.

"I looked in the mirror and I went, ‘What is wrong with me? What have I done wrong? Why are people being like this?’ It’s something new for me. In Love Island, people criticised me at the start but we had no phones. I had no idea what was happening outside. Now, I can actually read it. I see it, it’s in my face. Someone sends me a DM, a tweet, and I see it. It’s everywhere and it was a lot to take."
