Jeff Whitehead has led the Eastern Kentucky Concentrated Employment Program as Executive Director for the last 15 years. Whitehead announced last week that he will retire effective March 1, 2023.
Whitehead led the agency through the downturn of coal, the COVID-19 pandemic and most recently the historic summer flooding in eastern Kentucky.
Whitehead is credited with overseeing the creation of several programs that have helped thousands of disadvantaged eastern Kentuckians find jobs.
