A number of exciting new venues are opening in Liverpool this summer.
Tourists and locals who venture into the city centre will see new brands, shops and restaurants on the high streets this spring and summer. Liverpool BID Company has highlighted several new names coming to Liverpool over the next few months, which are set to create hundreds of new jobs in the process.
It's welcome news after two years of uncertainty caused by the coronavirus pandemic, which blighted a number of professional industries, leading to the permanent closure of independent shops, businesses, restaurants and more. Now, the city is bouncing back with a number of new openings already welcoming customers and shoppers.

There's also eight varied ventures keen to make their mark this spring and summer. From huge flagship stores to swanky hotels, here are eight new businesses to try out over the next few months:
Albert Schloss on Bold Street
The team behind Albert Schloss has already transformed one building on Bold Street - the former Sainsbury's supermarket - into an effortlessly cool Rudy's Pizza. Now, the Mission Mars team have turned their attention to Radiant House, one of the oldest and most striking buildings on Bold Street.
Once home to The Liverpool Gas Company, the new venue will house a Ludwig's tavern on the first floor, as well as a bakery, restaurant dining for 500, and a stage space. Grade II listed and built in the 1920s, the revamp will also see the restoration of a glass atrium.
Decathlon on Church Street
Sporting goods retailer Decathlon is opening its flagship store on Church Street later this week. Previously home to fashion and homeware chain Next before its relocation, Decathlon has taken out a 15 year lease on the store.
Liverpool's passion for football and sports ensures Decathlon's flagship store, which will occupy the ground and first floor of the six storey building, is in an ideal location. The upper floors will be taken by storage unit operator StoreAway.
Flannels on Parker Street
Luxury department store Flannels is taking over a historic part of Liverpool's thriving high street. The former Owen Owen building was once an integral part of the city's department store scene.
Now, it'll be home to Flannels' new flagship store. The popular retailer already has a store on Manesty's Lane, but the new venture is significantly larger - and it'll be a venue for luxury fashion, as expected, as well as fitness.
The brand has confirmed it's making space for a Barry’s Fitness Studio inside the new store. Flannels and Barry's are due to open this summer.
Radisson Red at Lime Street
Radisson RED Liverpool will take over the historic North Western Hall building in the city centre, seeing the Grade II listed building restored and revamped. The new hotel will highlight historic features including a 19th century stained glass window, a rediscovered secret doorway and a grand, sandstone staircase.
Due to officially open this summer, Radisson RED's arrival in the city will take the historic building full circle, as when it was originally created back in 1871, it was as the North Western Hotel. More recently, the building has been utilised as student accommodation - but that will all change later this year.
Zenn Liverpool on Victoria Street
Food lovers will be keen to visit Zenn Liverpool, an Asian-inspired restaurant and bar due to open this summer. An idyllic setting, the space is complete with a garden offering sunset views and a rooftop bar.
Based at the site of Victoria Street's car park, Zenn Liverpool boasts room for 350 seats, likely seeing it become a hotspot for hustle and bustle in the warmer, summer months. The head chef from Australasia Manchester will be serving up dishes with fresh, local produce combined with "sensuous taste experiences".
So Salsa on Castle Street
Popular Crosby tapas restaurant So Salsa is launching a much-anticipated venue in the city centre. The family-run restaurant is opening a site on Castle Street, where it'll offer tapas cuisine from around the world.
Nova Scotia at Mann Island
New restaurant Nova Scotia is opening May, offering indoor and outdoor dining. Its name comes from the dockside village that once stood on Liverpool’s waterfront, with the team behind the venture - Ma Pub Group - aiming to celebrate the city's maritime culture.
Nova Scotia is independent Liverpool bar operator Ma Pub Group's third venue in the city. The operator also owns Ma Boyle’s Alehouse and Eatery and Tempest on Tithebarn.
Cheers Big Ears on Bold Street
Cheers Big Ears is due to open imminently, located in the former premises of The Crafty Chandler on Bold Street. The popular pub closed its doors for the final time in autumn of 2021.
The new bar is the latest addition to the Pub Invest Group's extensive portfolio. Cheers Big Ears aims to provide an ideal spot for quiet, relaxing drinks during the day, and fun and excitement on the weekends.
Visitors to the venue can expect an interactive sports concept across the first floor, with Cheers Big Ears set to show football, boxing, UFC and other main sports events throughout the year. The first floor will also play host to 'Tops Dart Bar', an interactive games area with state-of-the-art digital games.
