A whopping eight £1 million UK prizes are yet to be claimed from Friday's Special 100 Millionaires EuroMillions draw.
A total 25 Brits became millionaires in one night but players are being urged to check their tickets, with eight winners yet to step forward.
The special EuroMillions European Millionaire Maker event draw was held on January 21 which created an incredible 100 guaranteed millionaires across the European EuroMillions community.
A total 17 UK players have now claimed their life-changing prizes and The National Lottery is urging the remaining 8 lucky winners to check their tickets.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, said, “Friday night’s special EuroMillions draw was just that, special.
“We will now start to support the 17 ticket-holders who have come forward to claim their prize but are also very keen to find the missing eight.
"You could be sat on £1 million and not even know it. We urge players to check their emails and tickets to see if they have amazing news. What an incredible surprise it would be to realise you’ve started 2022 as a millionaire.”
The National Lottery is encouraging everyone to check their tickets via their website or app.
Players can also buy and check their tickets at participating shops.
If no valid claim has been received, the name of the areas in which any outstanding tickets were purchased will be released.
This is provided by Camelot’s security team in line with its licence obligations and is designed to encourage tickets to be checked but also to enable the ticket-holder to remain anonymous if they wish.
With all National Lottery draws, players have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize if they have the winning ticket.
Once a ticket-holder has called Camelot and the claim has been validated and paid, they will then decide whether or not to go public and share their news.
There will be no information on whether it is an individual or syndicate winner unless the ticket-holder decides to go public.
National Lottery players generate more than £30 million each week for its funded projects.
These include support for the nation’s athletes win medals at the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
More than £45 billion has been raised for National Lottery Good Causes to date, with more than 660,000 individual grants awarded.
