The two North African talismen have led their sides to the quarter-finals stages of the competition in tough circumstances. Egypt needed a penalty shootout to overcome Ivory Coast in the round of 16, in which Salah scored the decisive kick before celebrating wildly with his team-mates.

Morocco, meanwhile, went behind to Malawi and had to turn the game around to win 2-1 and progress, with PSG full-back Hakimi scoring the winner.
