Egypt has recently unveiled a proposal aimed at rebuilding the Gaza Strip within a timeframe of three to five years. The plan, which does not involve collaboration with the Trump administration or Israel, is intended to counter a previous proposal by President Donald Trump suggesting U.S. intervention in Gaza.
The reconstruction initiative is set to be a collaborative effort among Arab nations, the European Union, and the United Nations. While specific details of the plan have not been officially confirmed by Qatari or Egyptian officials, sources within the European Union have acknowledged the forthcoming release of the proposal at an upcoming summit with Arab nations.
The reconstruction project is expected to unfold in two phases, focusing initially on rubble removal and residential construction. This development follows a statement from the Egyptian foreign ministry expressing a desire to cooperate with the U.S. while condemning Trump's proposal to take over Gaza.

In response to Trump's plan, both Jordan and Egypt have voiced opposition, with Jordan's King Abdullah announcing a humanitarian gesture to accept up to 2,000 children from Gaza for medical treatment. The president's remarks have spurred action from regional governments, prompting discussions on how to address the situation in Gaza.
Trump envisions transforming the Gaza Strip into a prosperous destination, likening it to the 'Riviera of the Middle East' or a 'diamond.' However, Abdullah emphasized the importance of considering the interests of all parties involved, including the people of Jordan and the region.
Abdullah reiterated Jordan's stance against displacing Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, aligning with the unified Arab position that prioritizes rebuilding Gaza without uprooting its residents. The ultimate goal, as emphasized by both Jordan and Egypt, is to achieve a just peace through a two-state solution for regional stability.
