The stopper showed exactly why he has earned the faith of Gareth Southgate as he made a crucial point blank save to keep the scoreline level at 0 - 0. The save prevented the team from suffering an early setback before goals from Jordan Henderson, Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka kept England's World Cup dream alive.

Megan and Arlo were in the stands at the Al Bayt stadium. Megan took to Instagram after the game to swoon with pride after her husband's performance.

She shared an emotional emoji as she posted a snap of Arlo's special flag he made for his dad. She captioned the post: "Arlo's home made "love you Daddy" England flag.
