A group of paranormal investigators captured an eerie image of a strange figure while looking into an allegedly haunted castle in Offaly.
The snap, which has caused quite a stir online, was captured during a paranormal investigation at Kinnitty Castle, Co Offaly on Wednesday, March 22.
Paranormal Supernatural Investigations Ireland went to Kinnitty Castle to carry out an investigation and were granted full access to most areas in the castle and advised that the banquet hall is very active.

Following the investigation, the group said that Kinnitty Castle was probably the most active investigation they have ever carried out.
"It was fantastic to speak to members of staff to gain some ground information about the castle itself; they were absolutely more than helpful.
"We all have to remember there was an abbey that stood once before the castle was built. This location is absolutely steeped in residual energy," the added.
The castle at Kinnitty was originally constructed by the O’Carrolls at Glinsk near 350AD. Around the same time an Abbey was founded by St Finian, disciple of St Brendan of Clonfert, where the present castle is located.
It is believed that a monk named Hugh, a woman named Lady Catherine Hutchinson and a child reportedly haunt the 19th century Gothic castle on the Offaly/Laois border and from what was captured in the picture, the group said it "seems to be a woman. "
They posted the picture up on their Facebook page, Paranormal Supernatural Investigation's Ireland.
One user said: "To me it's looks like a woman with a candlestick." Another wrote that it looks like the monk, having been built on a grave for monks.
One more said: "Stayed here twice. Both time we felt the spirits."
