Edwina Currie's undressed husband was 'exposed' live on todays' Good Morning Britain in a hilarious blunder.
The former Health Minister, 73, was speaking live from her home in Derbyshire when her 79-year-old husband came creeping down the stairs in an awkward cameo.
As Edwina spoke about going on a celebrity pilgrimage as part of a new TV show, presenter Kate Garraway pointed out that there was someone coming down the stairs.
The GMB host said: "Edwina I think a member of your household might be coming down the stairs. You might want to just check they’re dressed.
"They might not realise they are live to the nation. Who’s the lurking behind you?"
Edwina revealed the mystery man was former police Superintendent John Jones as she tried to hide him with her head.
Worried Ben said: "That looks very suspicious with him lurking behind you."
Kate tried to carry on with the interview but Edwina's husband carried on standing behind looking confused.
Cheeky Ben said: "Edwina, I’m presuming he was never undercover as he’s been pretty useless so far."
When asked to explain what was going on, Edwina confessed: "I don’t think he understands what Skype is all about."
Kate joked that John thought she was on a telephone call or that he was "strangely invisible".
When Ben moved along to fellow guest Adrian Chiles to let her "friend" scuffle away, Edwina shouted at that he is her husband.
Adrian said: "I don’t think Edwina mentioned she’s actually married to that bloke. He’s not some random copper."
Ben added: "I'm glad you could join us. I do apologise to your partner for his exposure."
Good Morning Britain viewers were left in hysterics and took to Twitter after the hilarious moment.
One viewer said: "Why didn't Edwinas man just nip into the kitchen in the first place instead of just standing there gawping! Maybe it's a bit early...so funny!"
"Looks like he's had a hard night. Tell him to put some clothes on," added another.
A third said: "Edwinas hubby, That's made me chuckle, doesn't matter what cloth we are cut from, we all look like s*** when we get up in a morning"
