Eduardo Camavinga’s agent confirms plans for Real Madrid midfielder amid Arsenal interest

Eduardo Camavinga’s agent has dismissed talk of the midfielder leaving Real Madrid this month.

Arsenal are interested in taking Camavinga on loan for the rest of the season, as they look to strengthen their squad to help them stay the distance in the Premier League title race.

While Declan Rice remains the Gunners’ top priority for the summer, the club are hoping to take advantage of Camavinga struggling for minutes at Real under Carlo Ancelotti.

The 20-year-old has started just five La Liga matches this season, and has been brought off at half-time in his side’s last two league games.

However, agent Joshua Barnett has addressed the speculation and insisted there is no desire for a move from the perspective of either Camavinga or Real.

“There’s no truth,” he told Fabrizio Romano.

“Of course every club in the world would want him, but he’s very happy in Real Madrid and Real Madrid are very happy with Camavinga.”

Arsenal have acted swiftly in the transfer market since missing out on top target Mykhailo Mudryk, who made an £88.5million move to Chelsea instead.

Leandro Trossard has joined the Gunners from Brighton to add another option in forward areas, while centre-back Jakub Kiwior is on the verge of completing his move from Spezia.
