Arsenal have been given an update regarding their interest in Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane after their initial enquiry was rebuffed by the German champions. Reports indicate Sane is 'considering his options' with the summer arrival of Sadio Mane adding to the competition for places in the Bayern team.
Sane headed back to the Bundesliga in 2020 after a successful four years in the Premier League with Manchester City where the German forward won two Premier League titles. The 26-year-old regularly features for Bayern and has made 13 Bundesliga appearances this season, scoring five goals in the process.
Due to his domestic form, the Gunners were part of a cluster of clubs who enquired about the availability of Sane but as per Graeme Bailey of 90 Min, any enquiries were immediately dismissed as Bayern intend to keep him at the club.

Sane was part of the Germany squad that exited the World Cup in the group stages for the second consecutive tournament, although he missed their defeat to Japan and only came on for the final 20 minutes against Spain.
The former Man City man started the 4-2 win against Costa Rica and grabbed an assist, but Germany ultimately left themselves with too much to do and were knocked out at the expense of Japan.
Bayern is now back to being the priority for Sane along with many of his other national team-mates who play for the current Bundesliga leaders. Although he may not be with the club for much longer, especially now Arsenal and many other clubs after his signature have been told what they must do to sign him.
Fabrizio Romano told Caught Offside: "There has been speculation, but there are no talks between Bayern and Arsenal for Sane as of today. I don’t see Bayern selling Sane in January unless a crazy bid arrives – their plan is to continue with him."
Sane remaining with Bayern until the end of the season at least seems to be the direction we're heading in but Romano suggesting a "crazy bid" coming in could alter that stance gives Arsenal some hope of bringing the German international back to the Premier League.
