Arsenal have been one of the most dangerous sides when attacking the opposition in the Premier League this season, epitomised by the fact that Mikel Arteta’s side sit at the top of the Premier League table as we enter the first international break.
A big reason for this is due to the impact of Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli, and Bukayo Saka on the team. The signing of Jesus has seem to elevate the performances of the fellow attackers on his side.
The attacking trio dominate the Premier League statistics, and if their current trajectory continues, it will certainly help Arsenal achieve Champions League football for the first time in over half a decade.

Jesus has created the most chances in the Premier League so far this season with 14. Saka is third on the list alongside Martinelli as both have created chances on 12 different occasions. Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne is the only player outside of Arsenal that prevents all three players from topping list, which highlights the success for Arteta in the early weeks of the season.
Jesus has had an excellent start to the season under Mikel Arteta, scoring two goals in his first home game for the Gunners against Leicester. And it is because of his explosive start that he had been named Arsenal’s player of the month for August. His dominant first month has led to him scoring four goals in total since the beginning of the season and he has also provided three assists, which puts him joint third in the league.
The 25-year-old also leads the league this season for having the most touches in the opposition box. The Brazilian international has so far taken 66 touches. Behind him is Mohammed Salah with 55 touches in the box. Jesus’ intent to stay in around the box has been a major benefit for Arsenal, as they have been creating more chances than previously seen during Arteta’s tenure as boss.
Meanwhile, Saka has recorded the second most assists in the Premier League so far this season. Saka has assisted a teammate on four different occasions. This is a testament to Saka’s excellent ability and the trust placed in him by Mikel Arteta. The youngster has had the responsibility to lead the Arsenal attack at times over the last few seasons, and he has responded by fulfilling the task.
Martinelli has been sensational since making the move to Arsenal from Brazil's fourth division in 2019 for £6milion. His drive and ability have made him a guaranteed starter under Arteta.
The youngster has been performing excellently on the left-hand side for Arsenal in recent months, so he has been called up to the senior Brazil squad. Martinelli touched on how it is one of his dreams to play in a World Cup, and with the next edition of this competition set to take place in less than nine months, he certainly has a great chance of being on the plane to Qatar with the Brazilian national team.
The trio of Jesus, Martinelli and Saka is certainly an attacking lineup that can gain Arsenal much success in the years ahead. It is crucial that Arsenal keep them together, as they are already proving to be one of the Premier League’s best front three.
