Edu given key incentive for Arsenal to secure the signing of England's next Jude Bellingham

Arsenal have the advantage in signing England’s next big midfielder as Jacob Ramsey has suggested that he is a fan of the north London side.

The young midfielder praised Arsenal with a tweet in 2017, and he also follows the Gunners on social media but does not follow any other Premier League club aside from Aston Villa.

Arsenal are in desperate need of a midfielder due to shortages in the position, which also coincides with a lack of quality, and it is something that Mikel Arteta needs to address.

Despite Ramsey only recently showing his quality at first-team level, it is clear that he will certainly be a top midfielder for the future.

The youngster has been crucial for Steven Gerrard since his arrival as manager after the former Liverpool legend put full faith in him.

The faith has certainly been repaid, as Ramsey has been excellent in the Premier League recently, especially against footballing powerhouse Manchester United where he provided a crucial assist for Phillipe Coutinho to draw the teams level.

There are elements of Jude Bellingham to his game where he is able to glide from one end of the pitch to the other, and his commitment would instantly make him a fan favourite at the Emirates.

The Gunners have already signed Albert Sambi Lokonga as a young central midfielder, but he has so far struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League despite having an encouraging start to the season.

If Edu was to pull off this dream signing then it would be a transfer for the future, due to Aston Villa’s likely unwillingness to sell a top talent before his value rises.

In addition to this, Arsenal require a more experienced central midfielder to immediately solve the problems Arteta’s side is currently having in the middle of the park.

Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka are considered the club’s strongest midfield pivot, but both are unreliable due to their constant absences from the squad, which leaves the team with a lack of quality in central midfield.

Arsenal are pushing hard for a place in the UEFA Champions League, and a player who has proved he's able to deal with the pressures in the final stretch of a Premier League campaign will help the Gunners achieve this goal.

However, Ramsey will still be an excellent signing for the future and Arsenal have been given another incentive to complete this deal.
