Now that Dusan Vlahovic seemingly has his eyes set on a move to Juventus, the Gunners will be assessing other forward options in the transfer market.
With that in mind, Arsenal legend Nigel Winterburn has urged Arsenal to sign one of Dominic Calvert-Lewin or Alexander Isak in response.
Whilst Winterburn will be content with either signing, the latter of the two may be a better option long-term because he has similar traits to none other than Thierry Henry.
Discussing possible solutions to Arsenal's striker issue, Winterburn spoke positively of Isak as he compared him to the Gunners' greatest ever goalscorer.
“We might have to take a chance on somebody and with Isak he reminds me a little of Henry with the goals he scores," he told FreeSuperTips.
“When Arsene Wenger brought Henry in, he played as a centre forward, but not in the role of a centre forward.
“He used to drift into clever little areas in midfield and on the left-hand side and if you look at Isak, and a lot of his goals, they come from a very similar area.
“But who knows, if we do bring somebody in then they need to hit the ground running.”
It's high praise from Winterburn and something that Isak himself would be proud of, especially as he's admitted that Henry was his favourite player growing up.
In an interview with Min Stora Dag alongside Sweden team-mate Dejan Kulusevski - who's incidentally also been linked with a transfer to Arteta's side over the past few months - Isak revealed his childhood footballing idol was the Gunners legend.
Perhaps then the 22-year-old will be interested in a move to the Emirates, as it gives him a chance to emulate his boyhood hero.
Only time will tell, but with less than a week left in the transfer window, Isak may well be the statement signing the Gunners need to propel them into the top four this season.
