Edinson Cavani spotted at Khan v Brook as Man United fans say the same thing ahead of Leeds game

Manchester United forward Edinson Cavani was pictured attending the boxing match between Amir Khan and Kell Brook.

The bout at the Manchester Arena is one of the biggest sporting events of the year so far in the UK, with Khan's grudge match with Brook taking centre stage.

However, Cavani's attention wasn't to the main event clash as his focus was instead cast towards the world title fight on the undercard.

Cavani's Uruguayan compatriot Chris Namus was tackling Liverpool's Natasha Jonas for the vacant WBO Super Welter title.

He was among a flurry of stars in attendance for the event, with Noel Gallagher, Jamie Carragher, Micah Richards and Dereck Chisora also in attendance.

However, it was Cavani's appearance that got United fans on social media talking as they feel it's a big hint towards tomorrow's Premier League action.

United face Leeds United at Elland Road on Sunday afternoon as they continue the push for a top-four finish.

With Cavani set for a late night at the boxing, many feel it is confirmation that the experienced forward will not feature against Marcelo Bielsa's side.

Out of contract at the end of the season, Cavani has featured in 11 Premier League matches for United this term but has missed the last two matches due to a groin strain.

It may well be that Ralf Rangnick is once again with the Uruguayan forward for the trip across the Pennines.
