Edinson Cavani will leave Manchester United at the end of the season with the club not prepared to offer him a new deal, according to reports.
The veteran attacker has been plagued with knocks and fitness issues this term. He is currently sidelined with a calf problem - his fourth separate injury of the campaign.
Cavani netted 17 times for United last season but due to his setbacks has only managed to tally two in 12 Premier League outings this campaign. The 35-year-old has been linked with a move back to South America this summer.

According to Sky Germany, United have no intentions to try to convince Cavani to extend his stay at Old Trafford. A new deal will not be tabled when his current deal expires in June.
Several Brazilian clubs are interested in him but are being put off by his big wage demands. Instead, he could make a switch to Atletico Madrid, who are also said to be keeping the Uruguayan on their radar.
Meanwhile, football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported that United have discussed Darwin Nunez internally after Benfica set a price tag of €80m (£67m) for the striker.
The 22-year-old has previously made it clear that he wishes to join an elite European club in the near future, so much so that he changed his agent in the hope of securing such a move. Benfica have now conceded that he is likely to leave this summer.
Nunez, who was named alongside Cavani in the Uruguay squad for March’s internationals, was being chased by Arsenal and West Ham in January. So far this season, he has netted 31 goals in 36 matches.
