A hilarious clip from one Edinburgh Zoo visitor has shown the moment a local toddler got up close with one of the site's gorillas.
Posted on TikTok this week, the short video captured the interaction between the one-year-old boy and the animal on a family trip to the zoo.
Standing up close to the glass, the young boy can be seen watching the animals enclosure intently, with his face fixed on the window and hands up on the frame.

Just through the glass the large gorilla can be seen sitting right up against the window, looking back out at the visitors.
Suddenly noticing the adorable blonde toddler staring back at him, the ape quickly turns his head and leans his head right in to meet the little boys through the glass.
In what looked as if he was going in for a kiss, the toddler quickly turns from being curious to terrified, and bursts into tears before moving away from the window.
