She moved to Edinburgh 11 years ago from the southern city of Kherson - now seized by Russia - and has become a spokeswoman for the expat community in the UK.
Taking to Twitter, the 33-year-old told of a horrific account when someone’s mum was killed in Ukraine and the family made a map of where they buried the body.
The tweet said: “Dima, mum was killed on the 9th of March 2022. She died quickly. Then the house burnt down. Dima, I am sorry I couldn’t save her. I buried her near the kindergarten two meters from the fence. I love you.” and a map of where the grave is. Mariupol.”
It was accompanied by a broken heart and a Ukrainian flag icon.
In another heartbreaking post, she spoke of a woman who was blown apart by Russian bombings.
The tweet said: “I’m sure I will die. It’s a matter of days. Everyone here constantly awaits death. I just hope it’s not too scary. There was a woman whose head and limbs got blown off. I hope my bodyparts are intact. Don’t know why, it seems important.” #saveukraine #closethesky #stopputin.”
She had also previously expressed her feelings of helplessness on social media on Tuesday, where she said she would “never forgive” herself for not being able to do more for those in Ukraine.
The tweet said: “I know I’m just a naïve girl with no grasp of politics or pretty much anything else in life, but I foolishly thought I could make a difference. Save people I love. Places I grew up in #Ukraine, I am so sorry we let this happen to you. I will never forgive myself.”
Meanwhile, the Scottish Express previously reported the backlash the Ukrainian heroine received at the weekend after speaking at the Tory conference and also posting a picture with Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
Ms Dove refused to be bowed and hit back at many of the abusive comments, although she admitted in response to one friendly voice: “Thank you for your support. I won’t lie, life didn’t prepare me for these torrents of nonsense.”
But she continues to speak out and keep expats from the UK informed of what is going on in the Eastern European country as she says “We can save lives together!”
She has slammed the “nazi-esque” handling of Ukrainians which she claims some 40 million are being subject to “who were peacefully minding their own business for all of their history.”
