An Edinburgh woman has told of her narrow escape after 'half a tree' collapsed this Easter Sunday in the Meadows.
Sarah Wilson, 50, was left in shock after "half a tree" crashed onto the path just ten feet in front of her whilst she was out walking her dog.
The thick tree branch came plummeting down into the path - alarming many residents out in the park.
The incident took place on North Meadow Walk, just next to Lonsdale Terrace just after 12.30pm.

Speaking to Edinburgh Live the artist, who lives next to the park, said: "It was absolutely crazy, it just came out of nowhere. I was out walking my dog in the afternoon, it was lovely weather then I heard this loud noise.
"It was the loudest cracking noise I have ever heard, it was so mental and noisy.
"I looked up to the sky to see where the noise was coming from and this massive tree branch fell right in front of me.
"There was a cyclist who was also passing at the time and he just traveled on through, right underneath the huge fallen tree."

The 50-year-old just couldn't understand what caused the strange incident to take place.
She said: "It was just really weird, it was a healthy tree branch and it cracked and fell out of nowhere - the weather has been lovely this afternoon."
She continued: "It fell just ten feet in front of me right across the path but it was the noise that shocked me most.
"I called the council and they have arrived now and are cutting it up into pieces to remove it."
Many other local residents questioned what caused the massive tree to collapse with some coming up with different answers.
One said: "Lot of trees doing this recently. Hopefully we can get to the root of the problem."
Another said: "That’s… odd, innit? Has it been stormy lately? Not that’s I’m aware…"
While one added: "If it's an elm they're notorious for dropping branches without warning. Never pitch a tent near one."
Edinburgh City Council have been contacted for comment on the incident.
