An Edinburgh woman has died after police and firefighters rushed to a property in the north of the capital on Saturday.
Officers received report of a concern for a person around 8.30am at a property on Warriston Drive, near the Royal Botanic Garden, with the fire service also rushing to the address to extinguish a fire that broke out.
However, it is not believed that the woman died as a result of the fire. The woman's death is currently being treated as 'unexplained' by police as a joint investigation is underway with the Scottish Fire and Rescue, reports the Evening News.

Police say the fire within the property was 'small' and there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances involved.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.30am on Saturday, May 27, we were called to a report of a concern for a person in the Warriston Drive area of Edinburgh.
“Emergency services attended and the body of a woman was found within a flat. There was also a small fire at the property which was put out by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
“The death is currently being treated as unexplained but there do not appear to be suspicious circumstances. A joint enquiry with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service is ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
Four appliances from the SFRS were mobilised to the scene, with the blaze extinguished around 40 minutes later.
