As the capital begins to enjoy some Spring weather, many people won't be happy when they check the weather forecast for the rest of April.
According to BBC Weather, Edinburgh is set to see heavy rain, winds and sub-zero temperatures begin by as early as Saturday, April 22.
Rain will begin to fall by 6am on Saturday, April 22, and will continue through until Monday, April 24, where lows of -2C will occur.

The sun will return for a brief period on April 25, with clouds and highs of 7C continuing throughout the day. The rest of the week will see the sun disappearing once again, to be replaced with clouds, scattered showers and lows of 1C.
As we move into May, the sun will return, with highs of 13C returning and only mild showers appearing throughout the beginning of that week.
The Met Office have also stated that the rain will return by this weekend, with the pollen count still remaining at a moderate level, so hay fever sufferers will still need to be wary of the outside world.
Read on below for a full outlook on the upcoming weather this weekend, and a more general forecast for the rest of April.
Today's weather
Any overnight inland mist patches soon clearing but patchy low cloud may linger on the east coast, otherwise continuing dry and largely sunny. Feeling warm in the sunshine, but cooler towards the east coast with an easterly breeze. Maximum temperature 16 °C.
Tonight's weather
Dry with late sunshine then mainly clear overnight. Patchy east coast low cloud and a few inland mist patches possible, with a touch of frost in sheltered parts. Minimum temperature 1 °C.
Friday's weather
Any early mist patches soon clearing then dry with some warm sunshine, although cloud increases from the south in the afternoon. Freshening northeasterly winds, with perhaps some evening rain. Maximum temperature 16 °C.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday
Cloudy Saturday with outbreaks of rain, occasionally heavy in east. Brighter Sunday but cooler with isolated showers and northerly winds. Mainly dry Monday but rather cold with sunny spells Monday.
Long range weather forecast for April 24 until May 3
Sunny spells and scattered wintry showers early next week, most frequent in the north and perhaps the east and still with a good deal of dry weather.
Cloudier in the south and southwest, with some rain at times. Light to moderate winds generally, but perhaps fresh or strong in the north and possibly in the south at times.
Cold for many with overnight frost, temperatures nearer average in the south and southwest. Cloudier conditions along with outbreaks of rain across or near the south and southwest will likely make gradual progress northeastwards across the country during late April but at an uncertain rate.
This will see temperatures eventually back to around average for the time of year.
