Edinburgh could see a white Christmas as the cold snap continues to hold Scotland in its grip.
Following a yellow weather warning for snow and ice on Friday, the white stuff will continue to fall through into next week and according to BBC Weather, will hit Edinburgh again on December 25.
This comes as betting experts William Hill said that the chances of Edinburgh having a white Christmas are priced at 2 - 1, with forecasts showing snow throughout December.

Commenting on the Snow of Christmas Day odds market, William Hill spokesperson Lee Phelps said; “As we get closer to the big day, forecasters are starting to get a more accurate prediction on where we can expect snow.
“Naturally with Scotland being in the North, the odds have tumbled on Glasgow and Edinburgh airports, even though the country hasn’t seen snow on Christmas day since 2010 it is still the most likely according to forecasters.”
Meanwhile a spokesperson at the Met Office told Edinburgh Live that there will be milder air into next week with Monday forecasted to reach 11C, but "cold air isn't far away" as temperatures will drop again down to 5C by next Wednesday.
Temperatures have plummeted in Edinburgh with residents waking up earlier this week to -5. On Thursday, Edinburgh will struggle to get above -1C with it dipping right down to -6 in the night, according to BBC Weather.
BBC Weather adds that Friday forecast is looking wintry as the yellow weather warning is expected to bring disruption.
It adds: "Tomorrow, it will become rather cloudy with outbreaks of sleet and snow spreading eastwards, these mainly affecting central areas of Scotland."
