A yellow weather warning for ice has been issued for the city of Edinburgh by the Met Office, running from Boxing Day until tomorrow (December 27).
After the wintry weather cascaded across Scotland on Christmas Day, ice has been left behind, and the Met Office has warned that it will be slippery underfoot. In terms of what to expect, this is what the forecasters had to say:
- There will probably be some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths leading to a greater chance of injuries or accidents
- Patchy snow on higher routes, both from wintry showers this evening, and also on leading edge of rain early on Tuesday, making for somewhat difficult driving conditions
