The Met Office announced when Edinburgh residents can expect thunderstorms as a yellow warning has been issued.
Despite parts of Scotland witnessing the hottest day of the year, many have woken up to showers on Sunday morning.
With this, thunderstorms are expected to hit the city from 12pm as SEPA have issued a flood alert with scattered heavy showers forecasted.

The yellow weather warning for thunderstorms has been put in place from 12pm until 9pm on Sunday, June 11.
Showers are forecasted throughout the day with the sun making an attempt to break through the clouds at 1pm.
The Met Office forecasts: "Some sunshine and scattered showers. The showers are possibly heavy, and thundery this afternoon, especially over high ground, although many places will miss the heavy showers. Another very warm and humid day."
Looking towards Monday, weather forecasters warn that the thundery showers could continue through the day. This comes as temperatures are still expected to mild with it reaching 17C on Sunday and 20C on Monday, though this will feel humid.
Met Office Chief Meteorologist Frank Saunders, said: “The heat will last for a few more days at least, Sunday will see 30C again in parts of southern UK and the risk of thunderstorms also spreads more widely across the UK – particularly western and central areas – with heavy downpours again bringing the risk of thunder, hail and gusty winds. As well as higher daytime temperatures, overnight temperatures will also climb with some locations not getting below the mid-teens overnight.”
